MERCHANDISING & INVENTORY CONTROL
Assists in the execution of store merchandising and visual standards including setting planograms, label maintenance, display of graphics and in stock status for balloon and queue areas
Processes balloon and queue freight to sales floor & organizes top stock/back stock for these areas
Assists with completion of inventory management for balloon and queue areas: weekly in-stock procedures, inventory adjustments, cycle counts and price changes
Assists in the execution of store merchandising and visual standards including setting planograms, label maintenance and display of graphics
Leads seasonal sets, transitions and packaway events
Processes merchandise transfers, damages, RTVs and recalls
Leads freight process when Assistant Manager or General Manager is not present for optimized labor usage with efficient product-to-shelf flow; processes freight to sales floor & organizes top stock/back stock
Completes required promotional sets and displays for advertising events
Responsible for stockroom organization
HUMAN RESOURCES
As requested, assists with interviewing and onboarding of sales associates
Works closely with sales associates -- providing training, feedback and reinforcement of standards
Partners with Assistant and/or General Manager for Associate coaching/counseling, performance documentation and employee relations
Requires staff compliance to all company policies and standards
STORE OPERATIONS
Role models Customer service expectations by executing and reinforcing 'Stop, Serve & Sell' service model principles
Store opening and closing procedures; performs Manager On Duty (MOD) responsibilities as required (including checkout needs)
Assists with payroll management: providing guidance to Associates that require editing of time records for missed punches
Drives store metrics for company discount programs, email capture, customer incentives and charitable donations
Responsible for Cashier compliance to POS functions and cash handling procedures at Front End and daily reconciliation paperwork
Monitors visual graphics/fixtures supply usage and applicable upcoming balloon and/or queue sets to anticipate order requirements; submits needs to Assistant Manager
Assists with execution of any front end-related audits
TASK PRIORITIZATION & PLANNING
Follows prioritized tasks/plans established by Assistant/General Manager
Focuses on service and checkout experiences: balloon pre-orders, walk-ins, staging, pick-ups; Party Pick Up (BOPIS) organization, picking accuracy, standards & on-time compliance; Cashier friendliness, line management and overall front end organization
Coordinates completion of company directives by prioritization based on service balance with task deadlines
Executes cash handling procedures: register balancing, maintaining safe fund and preparing/transporting bank deposits
Ensures clean and safe environment for Associates and Customers throughout sales floor, stockroom, office(s) and restroom(s)
