The 2nd shift maintenance supervisor is responsible for supervising and training maintenance and housekeeping staff, repairing the conveyor system, and general maintenance in the Chester Facility.


  • Prioritize breakdown repairs and communicate with 2nd shift production managers on status of repairs.
  • Generate project task lists on the conveyor and building systems for review with management.
  • Work with and manage 2nd shift maintenance staff and evaluate their performances.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the facility.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting (including talking with vendors) and repairs on all automation equipment; this includes the conveyor system, sorters, balers, and carton erectors.
  • Responsible for Pick To Light troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for Order Storage and Retrieval (OSR) system troubleshooting.
  • Review 2nd shift maintenance staff time off schedule to ensure proper coverage.
  • Responsible for daily turnover meetings between 2nd shift maintenance and 3rd shift maintenance.
  • On call for all security and maintenance issues.
  • Support Maintenance Manager on all safety equipment, sprinkler systems, fire and burglar alarms, and fire extinguishers.
  • Assists with parts inventory and ensure daily maintenance logs are correctly completed.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and OSHA rules while carrying out maintenance functions.

Job Requirements


  • Training in conveyor repair, 480v/240v110v motor control, knowledge of alarm systems and sprinkler systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC programming desired.
  • Certification in electrical and code compliance and lift truck training desired.
  • Ability to understand electrical schematics.
  • Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to effectively manage and lead a team of subordinates.


5+ years' experience in all aspects of Maintenance and Supervisory skills.


Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, push, reach with hands and arms.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds.  

Shift hours - 3pm - 11:30pm
